Undergraduates were administered the Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire (VVIQ) (Marks, 1973), the Vividness of Movement Imagery Questionnaire (VMIQ) (Isaacs et al., 1986), and the Test of Visual Imagery Control (TVIC) (Gordon, 1949) in order to study some psychometric properties of such tests. Asymmetric score distributions resulted in each questionnaire. Factor analyses failed to support the alleged unidimensionality of the construct underlying the tests. Split-half reliability coefficients were high in all the instruments. No significant gender differences were found. The three questionnaires were moderately correlated each other. Results suggest a revision both of the theoretic assumptions and of the items of the questionnaires.
